Drinking water infrastructure renewal work in Annecy: 5 months of work on rue des Marquisats
Situated between the lake and the mountains, Annecy offers an exceptional living environment that is attracting more and more buyers and investors. To keep pace with this dynamic trend and ensure the best possible quality of life, the town regularly invests in its infrastructure, as demonstrated by the new project to renew the drinking water pipes. These improvements enhance the value and attractiveness ofproperty in Annecy, while ensuring the well-being of residents.
Ainxi, the Greater Annecy Water Department has started a major project to renew and reinforce the drinking water pipe under the rue des Marquisats. The work, which stretches from the police station roundabout to chemin de Colmyr, began on 30 September and will take around 5 months to complete.
Project details
- Laying 600 metres of new cast-iron pipes.
- Upgrading of connections and replacement of fire hydrants.
Additional improvements
Alongside the drinking water works, other work is planned to improve local infrastructure:
- Renewal of the public lighting, carried out by the Syndicat des énergies et du numérique en Haute-Savoie (Syane) as part of a Syane/Grand Annecy consortium.
- Upgrading of the wastewater pipe, carried out by the Syndicat du lac d'Annecy (Sila), between the entrance and exit of the chemin du Tillier.
Traffic and mobility during the works
Throughout the works:
- Traffic will be kept moving in both directions on avenue des Marquisats to limit disruption.
- Signposted routes will be set up for pedestrians and cyclists.
- The road-crossing works will take place over 14 nights, with traffic lights alternating.
